Essen 2022: CGE Highlights & Big Thanks!
It took us a while to settle all the lovely moments of Spiel'22 last week. Overall, the show felt busier than last year, with over 147,000 visitors officially reported. It was great to see you all again, and now we are thrilled to share some of our favorite highlights!
Hot stuff
Our area was packed with bustling demo tables for all to check out the CGE's hottest titles:
- Deal with the Devil
- Starship Captains
- Galaxy Trucker
- Lost Ruins of Arnak
- A giant demo version of Under Falling Skies
- And during the weekend, family games such as Letter Jam, Pictomania, and Codenames.
Your tremendous interest in Starship Captains and Deal with the Devil – which just released for the show – couldn't make us happier.
Live Streaming
One of the biggest challenges of the show, and a tremendous experience, was our very first YouTube daily live streams hosted by Eleni Papadopoulou. She interviewed game designers, content creators, and other publishers about their hot new games. Huge thanks to all who accepted our invitation, and to course to BGG, who have been running these streams in previous years and showed us the way!

Meet and greet with designers
CGE's game designers were meeting gamers and talking about their common love of board games! In pictures, you can see Peter B. Hoffgaard (Starship Captains), Matúš Kotry (Deal with the Devil), and Mín & Elwen (Lost Ruins of Arnak).
Treasure Hunt
Some of you know the treasure hunt from Gen Con, and this year we brought it to Essen for the first time! According to your feedback, it seems it won't be the last time. Congratulation to all the winners, and thanks to all who participated.
