Visual Elements

Visual elements are key components that enhance the overall aesthetic and communication of our brand. This chapter outlines the proper use of icons, graphics, and other visual assets to ensure a cohesive and visually engaging brand presence.

Photography

Photography is a major part of our visual communications. To ensure a consistent and recognizable visual identity, please follow these rules while using photographic imagery.

Product Photography

Product photography should always have its background removed to make sure the pictures are available for use in various situations and on different backgrounds.

People Photography

When using people in CGE's brand indetity, try to have their background removed to achieve maximum focus on their faces and expressions.

Scene Photography

When using photos of whole scenes, make sure graphic elements and text are placed on a colorful background and not on the photo itself. This background can be a color overlay or separate section.

Illustrations

Illustrations are one of the most important types of visual materials we use. Below are common types of illustrations and hints on how to use them.

Character Illustrations

When using illustrated characters, make sure to keep them in the spotlight either by placing them on visually separate background, using compositions that focus on said character. When displaying a character in an environment, the same rules as for scene or people photography apply.

Background Illustrations

When using illustrated backgrounds, make sure to use less complex backgrounds. It is recommended to apply a color overlay on top of a more compex background for better readability of graphic elements.

Brand Mascot

The astronaut from Galaxy Trucker holds a very special place in our hearts—it was the first game published under the CGE brand. That’s why we chose the astronaut as our brand mascot.

Variability

Variability of the astronaut lies at the core of our brand identity, and the astronaut can take up many emotions and variations. Throughout the CGE brand, we fully utilize this feature to create delightful and playful communication outputs.
