SPIEL ‘23 Overview

Next week, gamers will once again gather in Essen for yet another exciting four days of SPIEL—and, if you’re coming, we'd like to invite you to stop by our CGE booth. But careful, this year, you will find us in a new location! We’ve moved to Hall 3 and you can find us at booth #3Y124.

NEW RELEASES
At SPIEL, we will be finally releasing Kutná Hora: The City of Silver, the historical economy-style game for 2 to 4 representatives of old guilds in the developing city in the heart of the Czech countryside. And if you want to dive deeper into game before SPIEL, you can read the newly released designer diary by Ondřej Bystroň.
We’re also bringing Lost Ruins of Arnak: The Missing Expedition (the newest expansion). This expansion adds a ton of new content, including 2 new leaders, research tracks, competitive and cooperative play options, a campaign, and more… as you can see in our overview video!
Both games will be available in our both for sale and as a demo.
PRE-ORDERS ARE STILL OPEN!
We are still collecting preorders of new titles, handy bundles, and older CGE games—sometimes hard to find.
The pre-orders are closing on October 1 and you have to pick them up before noon (12 PM) on Saturday, October 7, at the CGE booth.
MEET THE DESIGNERS
Designers of Kutná Hora, Ondřej Bystroň and Petr Čáslava, and Mín & Elwen, designers of Lost Ruins of Arnak, will be available daily at the CGE booth (#3Y124) from 3–4 PM to meet with you, chat about strategies, discuss first impressions after your demo, and perhaps sign your game box if you’d like. So make sure to stop by!
MORE GAMES TO PLAY
Our demo tables will feature not only our new releases, Kutná Hora and Lost Ruins of Arnak: The Missign Expedition, but also hits from previous years.
You can look forward to Letter Jam, Deal with the Devil, Galaxy Trucker, and an oversized version of Under Falling Skies!
The digital team will also present the Codenames App with the newest updates!
Please note that, as always, there won't be a booking system—all our demos are first-come, first-served. But don't worry—our team will find you a suitable spot with minimal waiting time.
OTHER FUN THINGS WE’VE PREPARED FOR YOU
Live streams from SPIEL
- Eleni will be LIVE-STREAMING WITH OTHER PUBLISHERS on Wednesday to our YouTube channel, showcasing the hottest SPIEL releases of this year.
- We’ll also be LIVE-STREAMING FROM THE HALLS of SPIEL on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to our Twitch channel.

The TREASURE HUNT is back again, which you can join for a rewarding experience while navigating the halls with great chances of winning gaming goodies.
If you’re a member of media or a content creator, you can meet our designers one day before the show starts at the Novelty Show (Wednesday from 11 AM to 3 PM).
Last but not least, there's the Starship Captains (2022 release by Peter B. Hoffgaard) Europe Masters tournament running on Saturday—a great honor for us!
