Rahdo's Final Thoughts

It's a wonderful expansion. ... I can't imagine we would ever ever play Tzolk'in without Prophecies and Tribes anymore.

This lovely expansion takes an already stellar game and launches it clear out of our solar system. ... Tzolk’in: The Mayan Calendar alone had tons of replay value, but when you add Tribes and Prophecies into the mix, I guarantee you won’t be able to get enough of this game.

This is a fantastic, fantastic addition to the base game. It does a wonderful job of adding depth and strategic considerations.

Rules wise, I admit that this is what I was hoping for. If the original game were to expand, that had to be towards new grounds and a broader perspective, without adding needless details or new wheels to the setting, and definitely not by further expanding the playing time.
